ഒരു വര്ഷത്തെ ഇടവേളയ്ക്ക് ശേഷം നാളെ വീണ്ടും ഞാന് എന് എസ് എസ് ക്യാമ്പിലേക്ക് പോവുകയാണ്. ഞാനും എന് എസ് എസും തമ്മിലുള്ള ബന്ധം വളരെ വലുതാണ്. എന്നെ ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ ഞാനാക്കിയത് എന് എസ് എസ് ആണ്. എന്റെ കുറച്ച് എന് എസ് എസ് അനുഭവങ്ങള് നോക്കാം.
ഞാന് ഒരു ദിവസം ക്ലാസ്സില് ഇരിയ്ക്കുമ്പോളാണ് ഉണ്ണി കൃഷ്ണന് വന്ന് എന് എസ് എസ് ക്യാമ്പില് വരാന് താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടോ എന്ന് ചോദിക്കുന്നത്. ഞാന് അതിന് മുന്പ് ഒരു ക്യാമ്പിലും പങ്കെടുത്തിട്ടില്ല. എന്തായാലും പേര് കൊടുത്തു. ക്യാമ്പില് പോയപ്പോള് വീട്ടില് നിന്ന് ശക്തമായ എതിര്പ്പ് ഉണ്ടായി. എന്തായാലും ഞാന് തുടരാന് തന്നെ തീരുമാനിച്ചു. ക്യാമ്പില് വെച്ച് ധാരാളം നല്ല അനുഭവങ്ങള് ഉണ്ടായി. അവിടെ വെച്ച് നടത്തിയ ക്ലാസ്സുകള് എന്റെ ജീവിതത്തെ മാറ്റി മറിച്ചു. വേദി എന്ന് കേള്ക്കുമ്പോഴേ മുട്ട് വിറച്ചിരുന്ന ഞാന് ഇപ്പോള് വേദിയില് കയറാനുള്ള ഒരവസരവും പാഴാക്കാറില്ല.
സപ്ലികള് കാരണം രണ്ടാമത്തെ ക്യാമ്പില് പങ്കെടുക്കാന് അമ്മ സമ്മതിച്ചില്ല. എന്നാല് എല്ലാ സപ്ലികളും എഴുതി എടുത്തപ്പോള് അമ്മയ്ക്ക് വേറേ വഴി ഇല്ലാതായി. എന്തായാലും ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ ക്യാമ്പ് വളരെ നന്നായി പ്രയോജന പെടുത്തണം.
എല്ലാ വായന-ക്കാര്ക്കും എന്റെ ഹൃദയം നിറഞ്ഞ ക്രിസ്തുമസ് പുതുവത്സരാശംസകള്.

Sorry for so much delay in posting. I will be posting regularly after 30 this month. I am going to share my hostel experiences. I am choosing English, as I have much low time left to post. My Malayalam typing speed is very low.
I have moved to hostel at October 5 2010. It was for preparing for my exams better. I would not concentrate on my studies when I am at home. It was my decision to go to hostel.
About my good experiences.
- Really helped me to order my studies.
- The food in our hostel was awesome.
- Increased the weight by 3-4 kg.
- Combined studies helped me to learn much better.
- Learned to control my expenses.
- Became self reliant in my day today activities.
- Due to lack of mobile phone, I spent fewer time wasting.
About bad experiences? There is much. Let me tell some of them.
- My ethics, morality, etc are hurt.
I will tell some examples. I am telling openly. I know that I will have to face much criticism. I am not mentioning any name here, as I don’t want to hurt anybody.
One day, I was lying on my bed. One of my friend who was in my room had jumped into my bed and started using lewd words. Another person was shooting it in a mobile camera, without my consent. I had told him in strong language and said him to stop and pushed away. In the mess, the very next day, I had seen discussions and questions about this incident. The video had spread to much mobile phones. Anyway, I have answered all the questions boldly and questioners had stopped.
Some of the persons in the hostel are talking in indecent way, making indecent gesture etc. I don’t know why.
In the hostel mess, the queue is similar to priority queue. Seniors always has priority. This kept first years waiting in queue for much long time. I didn’t like that. So I have decided to remain in queue. I am hoping that slowly everyone will follow my path.
Anyway, I have decided not to stay in hostel anymore, after the exams. I am going back home at November 30.

Sorry for not writing for too long. This time, an English post. Next time, it may be in Hindi. So watch out.
I have bought a printer, HP Deskjet 2668, some days before. I am explaining the situations that read to this printer.
I had previously printed the documents I need from outside. For that, even it is a single page, I have to go out, 3 kilometers and take the print. It was much inconvenient for me. Also I could not get color prints. And the mini projects, record works, etc are coming. So I decided to buy an Ink-jet printer.
I have called Logtech (Hardware shop in Thiruvananthapuram) and enquired what all HP printers are available there. They have said a few. I have taken note of that and used Internet for checking which one suits my needs. I was not looking for the best.
I usually buy tech gadgets that suits my needs and budget. My computer does not have a Optical Drive. I don’t use that. Then why spend money for that? Also, my processor and others are only that suits my needs. Keep that in mind when you are buying products.
I have seen persons buying high-end mobile phones and using that only to call. They don’t even know what are the functionalities available in it. So don’t be one like that. It will not give you higher status. Just the impression like കുരങ്ങന്റെ കൈയ്യില് പൂമാല.
I have selected HP for their GNU/Linux support. They have an opensource GNU/Linux driver called HPlip (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HP_Linux_Imaging_and_Printing). Thanks to them.
I have bought the printer, a pack of A4 paper and reached home. I have plugged the printer in and it is working. Taken some test pages and I was impressed by quality.
I have taken the color printout of my Object Oriented Programing lab programs, with syntax highlighting and all. I was impressed by my lab record. Thanks to HP.

ഇത് എന്റെ ആദ്യത്തെ ബ്ലോഗ് പോസ്റ്റ് ആണ്. ആഴ്ച്ചയിലൊരിയ്കലെങ്കിലും തുടര്ന്ന് എഴുതാന് കഴിയുമെന്ന് കരുതുന്നു. ഈ ബ്ലോഗ് തുടങ്ങാന് എനിക്ക് പ്രേരണയായ വിഷ്ണു സാര്, മഹേഷ് മോഹന് തുടങ്ങിയവരെ നന്ദി അറിയിക്കുന്നു.
നാളെ സിസ്കോയുടെ സി. സി. എന്. എ ക്ലാസ്സ് കോളേജില് ആരംഭിക്കുകയാണ്. സി. സി. എന്. എ കോഴ്സ് എനിക്ക് എങ്ങനെയാണ് കിട്ടിയത് എന്നാണ് ഞാന് വിവരിക്കാന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത്. ഞങ്ങളുടെ കോളേജില് ക്യാംപസ് അലോട്ട്മെന്ട് പരിശീലനത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി ഓരോ പരിശീലനം നടത്താറുണ്ട്. അതിലോന്നാണ് സി. സി. എന്. എ. മാര്ക്ക് കുറഞ്ഞവര് അല്ലെങ്കില് സപ്ളി ഉള്ളവരെ ഹാര്ഡ്വെയര്, മറ്റുള്ളവരെ സി. സി. എന്. എച അങ്ങനെയാണ് എടുക്കുന്നത്.
ആദ്യത്തെ വര്ഷം 5 സപ്ളി ഉള്ള ഞാന് പിന്നെ ഒരിയ്ക്കലും ഒരു സെമസ്റ്റര് ജയിക്കില്ല എന്ന് വീട്ടുകാര് ഉള്പ്പടെ ഏഴുതി തള്ളി. കുത്തുവാക്കുകള് കേട്ട് മടുത്ത ഞാന് ഒരു തീരുമാനമെടുത്തു : എന്നെ ഇപ്പോള് എഴുതി തള്ളിയവര്ക്ക് ഞാനാരാണെന്നും, എന്നെകൊണ്ട് എന്തു ചെയ്യാന് പറ്റുമെന്ന് കാണിച്ച് കൊടുക്കണം.
അങ്ങനെയാണ് വൈകിയ വേളയിലാണെങ്കിലും മൂന്നാം സെമസ്റ്ററിന് വേണ്ടി ചിട്ടയായ പഠനം തുടങ്ങി. കുത്ത്വാക്ക്, കളിയാക്കല്, സഹതാപം തുടങ്ങിയവയെ നിസ്സാരമായെടുത്ത് പരീക്ഷ എന്നാലാവും വിധം നന്നായി എഴുതി. അതിനുവേണ്ട പ്രചോദനവും പിന്തുണയും എന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരന് രാഹുല് ക്രിഷ്ണ (ബി. ടി) തന്നു. പരീക്ഷയുടെ റിസള്ട്ട് വന്നു. 68.2 ശതമാനം. ഞാന് വിചാരിച്ച മാര്ക്ക് തന്നെ കിട്ടി. കുറച്ചൊക്കെ ഭാഗ്യവും പിന്തുണച്ചു.
സി. സി. എന്. എ യ്ക്ക് ഈ സപ്ളിയൊക്കെ ഉള്ളതിനാല് എടുക്കുമോ എന്ന് സംശയമായിരുന്നു. എന്നാല് മൂന്നാം സെമസ്റ്ററിന്റെ മാര്ക്ക് പരിഗണിച്ച് കിട്ടി. എല്ലാത്തിനും കൂട്ടുകാര്ക്കും, അധ്യാപകര്ക്കും ദൈവത്തിനും, അമ്മയ്ക്കും നന്ദി പറയുന്നു.
കുറിപ്പ് : ഈ പോസ്റ്റ്, സപ്ളികളെ എങ്ങനെ നേരിടണമെന്ന് അറിയാതെ പകച്ച് നില്കുന്ന എല്ലാപേര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി ഉള്ളതാണ്. ഇപ്പോഴും വൈകിയിട്ടില്ല. മറ്റെല്ലാം മാറ്റിവെച്ച് ചിട്ടയായി പഠിച്ചാല് നിസ്സാരമായി എഴുതി എടുക്കാവുന്നതേ ഉള്ളു. ഏഴുതി എടുക്കും വരെ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്, ഇന്റെര്നെറ്റ്, മൊബൈല്, ടെലിവിഷന് തുടങ്ങിയവയില് നിന്ന് ഒന്ന് താല്കാലികമായി ഒഴിഞ്ഞ് നിന്ന് നോക്കു. എന്റെ കാര്യത്തില് പരീക്ഷിച്ച് വിജയിച്ച ഒരു കാര്യമാണ്. വിജയം ഉറപ്പ്. എന്റെ അടുത്ത് നിന്ന് എന്ത് സഹായം വേണമെങ്കിലും തേടാം.
